Yes, before you start using your IllumiaSkin device, it’s important to do a quick light sensitivity test. Don’t worry. It’s super easy! Before you begin your first ritual, follow the steps below to check if you are light-sensitive.

1. Place the device on your face so the LEDs can work magic on your skin. It’s easy to secure in place!
2. Turn on the device by following the instructions in Your Ritual Guide. Wear it for just 5 minutes, and if your skin starts to feel hot or uncomfortable at any time, take it off right away.
3. Wait for 24 hours to see how your skin responds. If everything looks good, you’re ready for your next session!

Our devices adhere to the highest global regulatory and safety standards.

Due to the lack of adequate research on the safety of LED therapy during pregnancy and breastfeeding, we cannot recommend its use for you during this period.

Based on available research related to the use of LED therapy, we advise that you do not use our devices if you have any of the following medical conditions:

• Skin problems such as lupus erythematosus, photosensitive eczema, albinism, or cancerous lesions.
• Any active cancer.
• Light-induced headaches or migraines, or a history of light-induced seizures or epilepsy.

Our devices contain plastics and silicone that come into contact with the skin during use. Please do not use them if you have a known allergic reaction to silicone.

To keep your IllumiaSkin device in tip-top shape, remember to give it a little TLC after each use. Simply wipe it down with a water-based wipe or damp cloth to keep it shining bright. Also, always make sure it’s switched off and not charging while you clean!

You will need to charge your IllumiaSkin device before use, and when the battery is low, here are the steps:

1. Insert the USB cable into the controller.
2. Plug the USB cable into a power adaptor and connect it to a grounded outlet.
3. Turn on the power.
4. Wait until the battery light indicator or the controller stops flashing and is solid; this means the device is fully charged. Charging can take up to 2.5 hours.
5. IllumiaSkin devices can be used for approximately eight 10-minute sessions once fully charged. However, we have heard many stories of devices operating well beyond that, so this is just a guideline.

• When it’s time to put your IllumiaSkin device away, give it a nice flat surface to rest on. You can use the protective box provided or just find a clean, dry spot to let it chill until the next use. Our PRO comes with a dust bag for easy storage.
• As a golden rule, never bend your mask where the silicone meets the cable - this mistake could void your warranty. Instead, adjust your mask to the perfect fit using the head straps and resist the urge to play tug-of-war with the connecting cord.
